When we first attended the Richmond Meet in 1984 to watch our eldest son perform in a martial arts demonstration my wife Moira and I never thoughts I would one day be elected to be president of the “Meet”.

Haven Taken part in someway or other every year since then, I feel greatly honored to be able to welcome you all to the 2003 Richmond Meet as the president.

The team has worked very hard to give you all a fantastic weekend of various entertainments to suit all ages and interests. We all hope you will come along and support “The Meet” and make their efforts worthwhile. This years Motto is “don’t just talk about it, Come and do it – Enjoy yourself!”

You will notice from the programme there is a Slight change to the format for the Sunday Gala to give you more to do and to see more of the local organizations in action. There can never be enough floats for the Monday Parade, Anyone who feels they can do better than last year – Please come along and enter, I am sure the regulars will love the challenge. There are prizes up for grabs.

All that remains now is for us to be blessed with the good weather,
