A Message from
the President
its a great honour that I write to you as president of The Richmond
Meet, Judith and I are looking forward to meeting you over the weekend,
very much like most, whit weekends. but this time I have a chain on,
and very proud to be wearing it.
I have been involved with the meet for longer than I can recall, when I
was at sea if I happened to be at home on leave at the weekend I would
help out where I could. It just developed from that to being secretary
for thirteen years, which I nicely passed on to my daughter two years
ago.
I would also like to take this opportunity to say if anyone would like
to join us please don't be affraid to make yourself known to any
of us and we will grab you an not let you go

The
Presidents Badge
Each year the President get to chose the design for the badge. The
shape is a stylised version of the Merchant Navy lapel badge, three
letters in the crown are my initials, the two flags are one for my
roots Scotland, and the other is for the company. I spent twenty seven
years of my working days shell tankers (UK) Ltd. Also of course The
richmond Meet of which I am proud to be Patron
Ihope you like it as much as I do, I will be very proud to wear it.
